CQI4KIDS Business Initiative

What is CQI4KIDS?

CQI4KIDS was launched in 2008 by the Board of Directors of the Northwest Institute of Research (NWIR), the nonprofit organization that administers the Northwest Regional Key. Funding was allocated for a business initiative to:

  • Generate awareness within the NW PA business community of the importance of early learning for workforce development and the essential service that early care and education provides for employees with young children
  • Provide avenues for businesses to support and advocate for quality early care and education in NW PA.

CQI4KIDS has been designed and implemented to spread the word about the work of the NW Regional Key, a state-funded program that promotes continuous quality improvement in early care and education through:

Standards, Training, Assistance, Resources, and Support (STARS).

For early care and education to reach its full potential and provide high-quality programs for children, it is essential that all stakeholders, including the business community, recognize the importance of early investments that help children “start off on the right foot.”

“Developing tomorrow's business leaders TODAY…

Because raising children is everyone's business.”
