Professional Development FAQ
Guide to Requesting Professional Development
The goal of the Northwest Regional Key Professional Development Department is to provide PQAS approved professional development events which meet the needs of the early learning and school-age community. We understand that professional development needs may arise which were not reflected in the FPDP, or which are not available on the online calendar. That is why we developed the attached document to help better serve the needs of the early learning and school-age community.
The early learning and school-age community may request a particular topic which may or may not be available. The Professional Development department will work to accommodate the request. Please note that topic requests which require development will be created as resources permit.
Community Based Professional Development Events may be requested which require the attendance of either a group of Directors and Owner/Operators located within a specific geographic area, or at least one half of a facilities staff. Multiple facilities must attend the community-based event. Private events may be arranged via the Onsite Model.
This document is intended to be a fluid document that will be updated as new events are created or have become available throughout all 18 counties in the Northwest Regional Key. If you have any questions or concerns regarding professional development please do not hesitate to contact the professional development department at 800-860-2281.

NOTE: Check the event details 24 hours prior to attending. Events can be cancelled due to low registration or inclement weather, and at times, locations and dates are changed. The Northwest Key makes every effort to contact registrants. Unfortunately sometimes the information in the database is not complete or accurate and we cannot reach you. For this reason, we ask that you make sure your professional information in the PA Keys database is correct.
