Clarion University of Pennsylvania is offering a
Directors Credential Renewal Program in the Summer Session I of 2011

Are you a graduate of Clarion University’s Early Childhood Director’s Credential program or other approved Director’s Credential Program? Is it time to renew your credential? If so, Clarion University’s Virtual Campus is offering a course this Spring to assist you with this process.
ECH 420/520: “Issues and Advocacy in Early Childhood Education” will be offered Summer Session I, which is in June. This 3-credit course examines incidental learning of children through their interactions with people and society's major institutions including family, educational systems, and social systems. The course also analyzes current issues and public policies as related to systems theory. Here, students will learn how to establish professional ethics, and how to advocate for young children to help them cope with a range of issues. Students will also learn how to create institutional change to meet the needs of young children.
Successful completion of this renewal course will assist director’s with renewal requirements of the Early Childhood Director’s Credential. For a copy of the Director’s Credential renewal requirements and application, please click on the following link DC Renewal Information.
Registration is limited to 25 registrants, with preference going to Northwest Regional Key director's.
