Resource Library
Who may borrow resources from the library?
Childcare organizations in the 18 counties served by the NW Key, and individuals contracted to provide professional development instruction through the NW Key. (The Northwest Key reserves the right to cancel or deny library privileges to any individual or organization.)
What are the procedures for borrowing materials?
- Before any eligible borrowers are permitted to remove materials from the library, the organization or the individual must have completed and signed a copy of the "Resource Library Agreement" identifying him/her as an approved borrower. This must either be given to a NW Key staff member or be currently on file at the NW Key.
- Requests may be made by telephone (800-860-2281), e-mail, mail or in person. Materials shipped from the NW Key will be sent via UPS. A UPS return label will be included for ease in returning the materials. A maximum of five (5) resources per application can be checked out at one time. Resources are to be returned within 30 days of them leaving the NW Key.
- Renewal requests must be made by phone (800-860-2281) or e-mail to allow timely communication between the NW Key and the borrower. If someone is waiting to borrow a particular resource, the borrower is expected to return the item by the due date.
- If material is not returned by the due date—or extended due date if renewed, the organization or individual identified on the Library Use Application will be charged the replacement costs for the unreturned materials. These costs include: purchase, shipping & handling, and processing charges for the each item. Until the overdue materials are returned or replacement charges are paid, borrowing privileges for the organization or the individual will be suspended.
